Game day, and the rest of the week

Kids pass Houston Cougars jerseys around a household more than almost any other item of clothing. One goes from child to child, from one game day to the next and from one season to the following one. Buying the version that holds up is cheaper than replacing it in the long run.

How it is made

This Houston Cougars jersey was made for people who do not want a raised design against their chest. The finish is flat, the surface is level, and the whole thing stays light enough to forget about. It is a deliberate choice, not a shortcut, and the difference is obvious the first time it is worn.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold with the rest of the laundry, and hang it to dry — nothing special needed. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics, and fold it like any other shirt between games. The Houston Cougars jersey asks for no looking after beyond that.

Questions buyers ask

• Is the design on this Houston Cougars jersey printed or printed?

The Houston Cougars graphics are pressed flat onto the fabric, which keeps the surface smooth and the jersey light in the hand. The color reads evenly across the numerals and letters, and the clean finish layers comfortably under a jacket or hoodie.

• How should I wash this Houston Cougars Football jersey?

Machine wash this Houston Cougars jersey cold and inside out, then hang it to dry, and the Black stays even through weekly laundry. Avoid ironing directly over the pressed graphics and skip the high-heat dryer. Treated that way, the surface stays smooth wash after wash.

• Does this Houston Cougars jersey fit true to size?

The Houston Cougars youth cut runs true to size with room for a T-shirt underneath. Buyers who want a looser game-day fit, or who plan to layer it in cold weather, usually go one size up. The shoulders sit close and the hem falls at hip level.

• Does this Houston Cougars jersey come with a player name on the back?

This Houston Cougars jersey keeps the back plain, so no player name appears on it. The pressed team graphics and the Black finish carry the look, which keeps it wearable as rosters change from one season to the next.
