Game day, and the rest of the week

Kickoff is only a few hours a week, but a good West Virginia Mountaineers jersey earns its place on the other six days too. It layers under a hoodie in November and works on its own in September, no costume feeling either way.

How it is made

The West Virginia Mountaineers detailing here is stitched in twill rather than printed, so the numbers and lettering have real texture and a premium, on-field look. It adds a little weight, and with it a feel that holds up for years.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold on a gentle cycle and hang it to dry - that keeps the stitched twill edges flat and the black looking even. Skip the high-heat dryer and do not iron directly over the sewn graphics.

Questions buyers ask

• Do the graphics on this West Virginia Mountaineers jersey feel raised?

The numbers and lettering are sewn on, so you can feel the texture. That stitched construction is what gives this black jersey its on-field look and long-term durability.

• How should I wash this West Virginia Mountaineers Football jersey?

Cold wash, inside out, air dry - that is the whole routine. The graphics are part of the fabric, so treated normally the jersey keeps its look season after season.

• Does this West Virginia Mountaineers jersey fit true to size?

The youth cut runs true to size with room for a T-shirt underneath. Buyers who want a looser game-day fit, or who plan to layer it in cold weather, usually go one size up.

• Does this West Virginia Mountaineers jersey show a number?

The jersey shows the No. 67 on the front in the West Virginia Mountaineers style, sewn on in twill rather than printed, so it will not crack or peel over time.
