About this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey

If the whole point is the colors, a men's Orange Illinois Fighting Illini football jersey makes the case on game day without a single name on the back.

Game day, and the rest of the week

Illinois Fighting Illini season means a standing appointment most weeks, and the men's jersey is what that appointment looks like in clothing. It goes over a T-shirt when it is warm and under a jacket when the weather turns. It works at the tailgate and it works at the watch party.

How it is made

The Illinois Fighting Illini jersey arrives with a level surface across the front and keeps that surface over time. Because nothing is built up above the mesh, there is no layer that can lift away from the fabric below it. It behaves like one piece of cloth from the first wear onward.

Washing and everyday wear

Turn it inside out, wash it cold with the rest of the laundry, and hang it to dry — nothing special needed. Keep the iron away from the pressed graphics, and fold it like any other shirt between games. The Illinois Fighting Illini jersey asks for no looking after beyond that.

Questions buyers ask

• How is the design applied to this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey?

The numerals and letters on this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey are heat-pressed onto the Orange fabric, so the surface stays smooth with no raised edge. It is a lighter garment for it, and the color reads evenly across the whole design.

• How should I wash this Illinois Fighting Illini Football jersey?

Machine wash this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey cold and inside out, then hang it to dry, and the Orange stays even through weekly laundry. Avoid ironing directly over the pressed graphics and skip the high-heat dryer. Treated that way, the surface stays smooth wash after wash.

• What size Illinois Fighting Illini jersey should I order?

For this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey, order the usual men's size: close at the shoulder, straight through the body, with length to wear it tucked or out. Anyone between sizes who plans to layer a hoodie underneath in winter usually goes up one.

• Does this Illinois Fighting Illini jersey come with a player name on the back?

This Illinois Fighting Illini jersey keeps the back plain, so no player name appears on it. The pressed team graphics and the Orange finish carry the look, which keeps it wearable as rosters change from one season to the next.
